The nation's substantial investments, strategic partnerships, and groundbreaking projects, including NEOM, underscore its unwavering dedication to AI advancement and solidify its position as a significant global player. In just four years, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) have driven digital innovation by hosting 220 government data centres on the "DEEM" cloud platform, resulting in an impressive SAR5 billion in savings and revenue opportunities. These achievements exemplify the profound impact of their commitment to AI and data technologies, aligning seamlessly with the Vision 2030 objectives.
- UAE- Led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's visionary leadership, the UAE is a trailblazer in government services, setting the bar for AI adoption, innovative city initiatives, and digital transformation. With a steadfast commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, the UAE is a global leader in harnessing AI and emerging technologies to elevate quality of life. The UAE's pioneering Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 encompasses nine crucial sectors, including transport, health, renewable energy, and education, reinforced by the appointment of the world's first Minister for AI. Combined with investments in space exploration and the digital economy, the UAE is poised for exciting advancements in the years ahead.
- Qatar- The national strategy for AI, known as AI+X, envisions seamless integration of AI across all economic facets. The 'Smart Qatar' (TASMU) program, initiated by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030 to bolster the digital economy, with artificial intelligence as a pivotal driver of success. According to Statista, the AI market in Qatar is projected to reach $220 million in 2023, with an anticipated annual growth rate of 16.66%, reaching a market volume of $646 million by 2030,
- Oman- is making significant strides in adopting AI and advanced technologies through its National Programme for AI and ATs, emphasising productivity, skill development, and ethical governance. Initiatives like the Nebula AI platform signify the nation's commitment to AI readiness on the global stage.
- Across the Middle East, governments and private enterprises are playing a pivotal role in driving the advancement of AI.
